            Dubut Album   "NEVER KNOWING"

Malika Collective crafts a powerful, genre-defying sound shaped by jazz, funk, Afrobeat, rock, and global traditions. Their music thrives on deep grooves, rich improvisation and layered textures, seamlessly weaving diverse influences into a cohesive and contemporary voice. Bold yet nuanced, their sound feels both timeless and forward-looking — a modern expression rooted in rhythm and exploration.

With roots planted in the fertile soil of the London Jazz scene, Malika Collective has evolved into a dynamic ensemble with a cast of virtuosic musicians, each bringing their own unique flavour to the mix. The core of the band features the formidable talents of Henry Lawry on keys over the taught rhythm section of Nim Sadot on bass and Jack Robson on drums, the slinky tones of George Risk’s guitar along with the soulful sounds of Johnny Woodham on trumpet, Greg Sinclaire on tenor sax and flute and George Garford on alto. Together their music weaves a sonic tapestry of intricately crafted melodies over a web of etherial textures. Drawing inspiration from a wide spectrum of genres, blending the sounds and effects of electric synths with the timeless elements of jazz instrumentation over unusual time signatures, their music captures the fusion of old and new, tradition and improvisation. Malika Collective fearlessly explore this sonic landscape. Each track is a journey through a vibrant mosaic of sound that invites listeners to engage closely while also losing themselves in the matrix of this quixotic soundscape.
